Welcome to the Great American History Class!

The objective of this class is to introduce young students to the important people, places and events that are significant in American History. Furthermore, this course seeks to help the students gain an insight into, an appreciation of and a pride in the history of this great country that we call the United States of America.

Welcome to The Great American History Class and the 2016-17 school year. This will be my 19th year in the Jordan Public School system and as always I look forward to the upcoming school year.  I am a graduate of Winona State University where I earned a B.S. in Social Science Education and later completed my B.S. in Physical Education at Minnesota State University-Mankato.

We will begin The Great American History Class this year with a study of the tragic day of terrorism that struck America on September 11, 2001. While it was a day full of destruction and death, it was also a day where American citizens shined with great acts of heroism and sacrifice that make us all, as Lee Greenwood would sing, proud to be an American! This September 11th will mark the 15th anniversary of this historic event, an event that we must Never Forget!
